New York City

I have lived in New York City for more than four and a half decades, by far the longest location in my life.

I have seen the city during its worst periods and its best.

I have witnessed awful and wonderful events.

I have met people who were energetic, creative, adventurous and sometimes wild.

I know enough to be aware that sudden, negative encounters can happen anywhere at any time.

But I have also known that there is no better place to meet people unexpectedly who add to life.

New York is where I chose to live my life.

And maybe New York chose me.
