Ocean Beach IV: Dusk

Wait a minute.

It just keeps getting better, even after sunset. The oranges, blues and reds mix with the dimming sky to create a moody loveliness that has to be seen to be understood.

It's the time after the glorious time, when the bright sky turns to deeper mystery and a new possibility of serenity. It happens in a place that produces a natural high and then allows it to recede along with its ever changing light into our memories, only to be replaced by stars that remind us of our place in the universe.

Viewed from across the the Great Highway at the edge of Golden Gate Park, even the traffic lights and street lamps become their own kind of art, contributing to the whole outdoor museum of sand, hills and water.

Ocean Beach at dusk is warm and cool at the same damn time.
