Some Friends
During a timespan of more than half a century, I have met and gotten to know many people with whom I have shared many great times. My friendships began in high school and college. They were also the result of interactions with neighbors and coworkers. I went to the gym, bicycle riding and/or swimming with several friends. With a few, I went camping and hiking in upstate New York. To this day, I remain in contact with several friends, but inevitably I have lost contact with others.
Nevertheless, my memories of friends are vivid. As might be expected, I took their picture, in most cases multiple times. The images appear in my online biographical journals or especially in my online journal Portraits along with essays that describe how I met them and what our photo sessions were like. Each person has played a special role in my life, some of them quite strong, and they will never be forgotten.
