Apartments
At the end of April 2024, I completed 22 years of living in my apartment in southwest Harlem. It is by far the longest I have lived in any one building or single apartment in my entire life and no other place comes close.

However, I did live with my family for six years in one building (but two different apartments) on Franklin Blvd. and St. Louis Avenue on the West Side of Chicago.
at first my family and I lived in a small one bedroom apartment on the third floor (barely visible at the far end in this picture of the St. Louis Avenue side) in a building on Franklin Blvd. and St. Louis Avenue (photo taken six or seven years after we moved away in 1969; the building was torn down in the late 1970s or very early 1980s)

I also lived with my family on the third (top) floor on the left in a larger apartment in the building on the corner of Franklin Blvd. and St. Louis Avenue (no longer in existence)

I also lived for six years in one building (but again, in two different apartments) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

________
But cities themselves still manage to hold their own records in my life, as follows:
Chicago: my first 25 years of life, in several locations on the West, South and North Sides
Brooklyn: my next 23+ years, in several locations throughout Brooklyn (such as Park Slope, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Boerum Hill, Highland Park and Starrett City)
Manhattan: my 22 years in one location in Harlem, followed by one year (so far) in my current apartment in Harlem
NYC Total: 46 years (in August 2024)
